Transfer By Bus From Ushuaia To Punta Arenas
TransferAbout this transfer
The bus departs from the Ushuaia terminal at 7:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It makes a stop at Río Grande to pick up additional passengers, though disembarking is not permitted at this location.
The journey proceeds towards Chile, with a stop at the border for immigration processes in both Argentina and Chile. SENASA and SAG inspections will be conducted, and it's important to note that certain food items, such as sausages and fruits, are prohibited from crossing.
Following customs procedures, the bus continues to the Strait of Magellan for the barge transfer. The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes.
Upon reaching the opposite shore, the bus resumes its direct route to Punta Arenas, concluding the trip at Armando Sanhueza 745.
Bear in mind that no official stops are scheduled. However, the transfer includes an onboard breakfast service featuring a bottle of water, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a cereal bar.
Before boarding the barge, if the location is open, you can make purchases. We recommend bringing cash if you wish to buy anything at the border stop.
Additionally, passengers should arrive at the meeting point (Ushuaia Fadul and Maipú Terminal) by 06:30 am.
