Descripción del Tour
This canoeing and trekkingexcursion (also known as Yamaning)on Gable Island is crafted for adventurers eager to step off the beaten path and engage in an authentic immersion in the Fuegian wilderness, nestled in one of the most untouched areas of Tierra del Fuego.
The journey kicks off early, leaving Ushuaia at around 08:30 hrs, en route to the Beagle Channel coastline. Upon arrival at approximately 10:30 a.m., participants receive a technical and safety briefing. Here, expert guides provide instructions on equipment use and essential paddling skills for inflatable canoes.
Once we hit the water, we begin our paddle along the Beagle Channel, skirting pristine coastlines and stunning vistas, echoing the historic journeys of the Yámana people, the region's original inhabitants. These people have navigated these waters in canoes for millennia. This adventure offers an intimate connection with nature, tranquility, local wildlife, and unparalleled views at the End of the World. Around 12:30 p.m., the paddling concludes as we land on Gable Island, an uninhabited isle with restricted access. Here, we indulge in a hearty lunch in an exclusive and cozy retreat, featuring panoramic views that invite relaxation and a deep connection with the surrounding nature.
Post-lunch, at about 1:30 p.m., a guided trek around Gable Island commences, taking us through forests, coastlines, and natural viewpoints. This moderately challenging hike allows for an in-depth exploration of the island and offers the unique sensation of complete seclusion, enveloped by untouched nature. Upon completing the trek around 4:00 p.m., we will canoe back to the mainland, where our transport awaits to return us to Ushuaia. We anticipate arriving in the city around 6:30 p.m., wrapping up a day filled with adventure, nature, and discovery at the true End of the World.
