The adventure kicks off from the hotel at 8:00 am with a brief journey to the Tierra Mayor Valley. We arrive by 8:30 am to embark on a vigorous hike.
The initial segment of the trek involves a steep trail, where ancient lenga trees of the sub-Antarctic forest provide a scenic backdrop. After a challenging 45 to 60 minutes (by 09:30 am), the forest opens up, rewarding hikers with breathtaking views from the summit.
Around 10:15 am, we reach the stunning Turquoise Lagoon, a glacially-formed marvel known for its vibrant color. We continue ascending a rocky ridge to reach the summit of Mount Carbajal by noon. From this vantage point, you can admire the glacial trails that once extended towards the Beagle Channel, carving out the Tierra Mayor and Carbajal valleys and shaping this remarkable landscape. We'll enjoy lunch with a view, and at 1:00 pm, we begin our descent back to our vehicle.
By approximately 3:30 pm, you'll be returned to your hotels.
